1. About These Terms

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and services provided by Helix Infrastructure Academy Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15283741 with its registered office at 200 Broomielaw, Suite 310, Glasgow G1 4RU, United Kingdom. VAT registration number: GB 429 1836 07.

By accessing our website or enrolling in any of our programmes, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version will always be available on this page with the effective date shown above.

2. Our Services

Helix Infrastructure Academy provides professional development programmes for systems administrators and infrastructure operations professionals. Our programmes are organised into three tiers:

• Foundation — 4 weeks, starting from £1,100 per participant. Core sysadmin skills for junior administrators.
• Advanced — 8 weeks, starting from £2,400 per participant. Configuration management, monitoring, and incident response for mid-level administrators.
• Leadership — 12 weeks, starting from £3,800 per participant. Capacity planning, team mentoring, and vendor management for senior administrators and team leads.

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to adjust pricing for future cohorts; any price changes will not affect confirmed enrolments.

3. Enrolment and Payment

Enrolment is confirmed once we have received full payment or an agreed payment schedule has been put in place. We will send written confirmation of your enrolment, including the programme start date, schedule, and any pre-course materials.

For group enrolments, a single purchase order or invoice arrangement may be agreed with the enrolling organisation. Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your enrolment under the following conditions:

• More than 14 days before the programme start date: full refund.
• 7 to 14 days before the programme start date: 50% refund or full credit towards a future cohort.
• Fewer than 7 days before the programme start date: no refund, but you may transfer your place to a colleague at no additional cost.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a programme if the minimum number of participants is not met. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to join the next available cohort.

5. Intellectual Property

All course materials, documentation, lab exercises, and content provided as part of our programmes remain the intellectual property of Helix Infrastructure Academy Ltd. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your personal professional development. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share programme materials with third parties without our prior written consent.

6. Limitation of Liability

Our programmes are intended to support your professional development. We do not guarantee specific career outcomes, certifications, or employment results. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or in connection with our services shall not exceed the fees paid by you for the relevant programme.
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss of profit, data, or business opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not use our website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the site or interfere with other users. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, the server on which it is hosted, or any connected system.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the information on our website is accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee completeness or accuracy. Website content does not constitute professional advice.

8. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable UK data protection law. By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our privacy policy.

9. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises in connection with these Terms or our services, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@helixacademy.co.uk so that we may attempt to resolve the matter informally.

If informal resolution is not possible, either party may refer the dispute to mediation administered by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) in accordance with its mediation procedures. If mediation fails or is not pursued, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any legal proceedings arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the Scottish courts. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed from these Terms, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
